Plastic Taylor wreath filler was developed by the United States A.J.Teller in 1954, so the wreath is often referred to as Taylor wreath. This kind of packing is made up of many rings, because the gap of the packing can have a higher liquid holding capacity, can make the tower liquid residence time is longer, thus increasing the gas-liquid two phase contact time, improve the packing mass transfer efficiency. Polypropylene packing has the characteristics of large voidage, low pressure drop and mass transfer unit height, high flooding point, full vapor liquid contact, small specific gravity, high mass transfer efficiency, and is mostly used in gas washing and purification tower.
Low filling the void fraction of big, not easy to be blocked, and the advantages of large flux, small resistance, the wreath packing also called plum flower ring packing is composed of many circle knot around, because of the packing space have higher amount of the liquid, due to the packing of gaps have higher delay fluid volume, can make the liquid in the tower to stay for a long time, thus increasing the contact time of gas and liquid, improve the efficiency of the packing mass transfer. ● Plastic Taylor wreaths have longer service life, better chemical corrosion resistance, and improved mechanical properties, creep resistance and dimensional stability than polypropylene wreaths. The temperature resistance of the product is 127℃, and the thermal deformation temperature is 160℃. It has high strength, chemical corrosion resistance, good electrical insulation, impact resistance and many other excellent properties, and good toughness.
